April has us at three gem and mineral shows; we are in Dover NH (April 12-13), Portland ME (April 19-20), and Freeport NY (April 26-27). We will be traveling most of the month. We apologize in advance for delays in shipping, drilling, and customer service requests. If you have an open order or place an order in April, please remember to read the Travel Impact section of your invoice.


We will be posting on Cabochons, Beads, and More and on the Seaside Stones - Online Rock Shop, including from the gem and mineral shows (See LINKS and MORE below). Our LIVE shows, other than this coming weekend, will be ad hoc. As soon as we know we have good internet, we will schedule a show on our Events tab on Facebook. Please remember, you can just opt-in for text message reminders for LIVE shows (See LINKS and MORE below).


March Recap: Can a month be both busy and quiet? Busy trying to get ready to leave for North Carolina, busy driving south (especially since we had some motorhome challenges), busy at the Gastonia show, quiet in between the two shows (catching up on things, nice spring walks, etc.), busy at the Hickory show, and busy driving home (which we are still doing at the time of writing this newsletter).


Invoice Change: We appreciate your support of our small business. We try to be flexible since we know that many of our customers are also small businesspeople or craftspeople making jewelry as a hobby. Unfortunately, flexibility needs to have its limits. Open invoices exceeding the max of 30 days is an ongoing problem for us. For many small businesses, there are obvious challenges that come with overdue invoices, such as the impact to cash flow, tying up inventory, etc. For many home-based small businesses, there are also logistical issues due to limited space for storage. Therefore, our small business needs to put some boundaries on flexibility - Once an invoice hits 30 days, no additional claims will be added to the invoice. Additionally, when the grace period ends, the overdue invoice will be canceled. We send a minimum of four reminders to customers with overdue invoices so that they know where their invoice stands. We do understand there are extenuating circumstances, so as the final invoice reminder says, please contact us if you need a few extra days, and we will try and work with you. TRAVEL IMPACT - We travel periodically from March through November. Please make sure to review the Travel Impact/E-Newsletter section of your invoice to know how our travel will impact shipping (and drilling).


We do not insure any packages when the invoice is less than $300; however, you can add OPTIONAL INSURANCE. If you want to add insurance, please use the tipping option on your invoice. For more information, you can read one of our older blog post here.


HOW OUR INVOICES WORK: Invoices are due as per your invoice. They can be left open if you are still shopping (max 30 days). If you pay, we assume you want us to ship. If you are still shopping, please leave your invoice open. Weekly reminders are sent, and a final reminder is sent at 30 days. If not paid per the final reminder, the order will be canceled. Once an invoice hits 30 days, any new claims will be put on a future invoice which will be on hold until your current invoice is paid.


PERSONAL SHOPPING - Did you know we offer personal shopping services? If you're in search of a particular cab, a cool carving, a pretty pendant, or anything else that we sell, simply reach out to us and we'll gladly provide you with pictures and/or videos.


Online orders are subject to MAINE SALES TAX. If you have a resellers certificate or whatever your state calls it (different from a federal EIN) and you haven’t sent us a copy, please email it to seasidestoneseastport@gmail.com.
