Flag Football

Now that the GVFL flag football season has completed two weeks of games, the boys of fall are coming into form.

There were touchdowns galore this past weekend.

The 3rd grade boys are almost all lightning fast. The 2nd grade division games have the kids passing the ball up and down the field. The 1st grade division game definitely approved a ton from the first week, and looked like football. And in the kindergarten division we had all the kids finally going in the right direction.

Some slots remain; join a team

GVCO Cheer this past weekend

Our GVCO Caring Hands student volunteers spent a couple of hours raking, shoveling, and hauling rocks from the field space next to the GVCO Community Center. They were preparing the field as it will be seeded this fall, so we will have a nice green field for our spring programming.

Learn more about Caring Hands. Volunteer as much as you'd like.

SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS

As always, we had tremendous local support for what we are trying to accomplish with our GVBL winter rec league. Without this assistance, there would be a financial shortfall for equipment, administration and facilities rental. GVBL would like to thank all those who have stepped up to support GVBL. In addition, as always please try and support these local businesses throughout the year, shopping and doing business right here at home
