Newman News
September 10, 2020
Beginning Saturday, September 12, we will reopen for in-person indoor Mass at 4:00pm and we will continue in-person outdoor Mass at 5:30pm. Both Masses are by reservation only. Reservations are open from 8:00am Monday to Noon on Friday at catholicucsd.org.
Pope Francis released his encyclical Laudato Si’, On Care for Our Common Home, in 2015. 2020 is a Laudato Si’ Anniversary Year, and Pope Francis is calling us to celebrate with him during the Season of Creation.

The Season of Creation, which takes place annually from September 1 through October 4, is a time to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation through repenting, repairing, and rejoicing together.

A special highlight of the Season of Creation is Laudato Si’ Week, taking place from September 13 – 19.

Join the Newman Community virtually on Thursday, September 17, from 7:30pm to 9:00pm on Zoom at catholicucsd.org for an overview of Laudato Si’, followed by a prayer service for creation.

Contact Kelly with any questions.
