Bethany Kramer

Please help us welcome new local potter, Bethany Kramer, to the indigenous family of artists!
Bethany delivered her first batch of earthy, rustic pottery with a lovely blend of warm green, textured glazes on a variety of functional, organic forms. Bethany keeps her hands in the clay by producing her line of Bethany Rose Pottery and teaching classes at Queen City Clay.

"As a ceramic teacher I am always trying new techniques and trying to expand my knowledge of clay as a material. I make functional stoneware pottery as well as sculptural work that I wheel throw and alter. Throughout the creating process I try to bring out the natural and earthy qualities found in clay. Starting with a solid structure or foundation I let the surface take on its own life through the use different tools, glazes, slips, or underglazes." ~ Bethany

John Funner
John Funner
We are welcoming our first wood jewelry maker, John Funner, to the indigenous family of artists! Created with local, naturally sourced maple, cherry, & walnut, John captures the natural beauty of this material in each bentwood ring by layering a very thin piece of wood around itself, allowing the grain to run around the ring enhancing each one's longevity and strength.
