Another $100,000 will be awarded in early 2019, with an additional $100,000 available for researchers to apply for in the Spring of 2019.
We also funded two new educational symposiums (Huntsman with Dr. Lambert and University of Chicago with Dr. Turaga) this past October, and will once again sponsor the Drexel event in April of 2019.
ACPMP has been instrumental in enabling: (1)
two exciting genetic
research studies from Wake Forest and UCSD proving that Appendix Cancer is genetically distinct from colon cancer, hopefully paving the way for targeted therapies, and (2) the only drug in development for treatment of Pseudomyxoma Peritonei now in human clinical trials, developed by the Australian team including David Morris and Sarah Valle.
