This fun-filled night includes raffles for prizes, a banquet dinner with delicious food and drinks, and exhibition boxing matches between amateur boxers. NTM at the Spring Lake Park Career Fair
|
The career fair is a chance for businesses from various industries to discuss their work with high school students. Representatives share information about their jobs, what they do, and how they got started. Students can ask questions and learn more about a wide range of careers, which can help them to start to shape their own paths.
The event at Spring Lake Park High School was just one of many that NTM attended in 2023. We are committed to providing students with opportunities to learn about a future in manufacturing. NTM is already registered to attend this career fair in 2024

What started out as a small machine shop, has grown into the thriving national business it is today. And all of us here at NTM owe that success to you, our customers. Thank you for your continued business and support.
We are proud of our past, and we look to the future with confidence that our employees, our equipment, and our commitment to excellence will enable our continued success.

New Equipment is installed, up and running!
NTM is already enjoying the additional capacity and efficiency that this new equipment brings to the floor. Alongside our long-standing CNC machines, the new YCM allows us to manufacture parts even more efficiently. This new CNC mill, along with a Surface Grinder and EDM are an investment in our team, and our customers, helping us to meet the growing demand for our products and to better serve our customers.
July MPMA Golf Tournament
The annual MPMA golf tournament is a key fundraising event for the MPMA Education Foundation. NTM was proud to sponsor a hole again in 2023.
|
This month, we recognized two employees for our very first FIOB (“Figure it Out Bonus”). This program encourages employees to share ideas improving our efficiency, reduce labor and material costs, and help our Manufacturing customers succeed.
Al Pickett, a lifetime mechanic, suggested a duplicate set of fixtures for milling heads that could be loaded while one was in the machine. This doubled our output!
Machinist Greta Pallow, a high school senior (!), saw an opportunity to move one of our HAAS mills to accommodate an extended chip conveyor to be installed on a new Milling center.

What Does 2024 Look Like?
|
As we look to the future, we are excited for the possibilities of the new year. In addition to following our vision of “helping manufacturers succeed,” we’ve got a few additional goals for 2024:
- Continue to support Career and Technical Education by offering tours of NTM, attending career fairs and open houses, and supporting initiatives that invest in the workforce of tomorrow.
- Carry on with strategic hiring and supporting the internal team. As NTM continues to grow and invest in its operations, continue to hire top-tier talent and provide educational opportunities to current employees.
- There’s always room for additional improvements and learnings, and in 2024 we are focusing on how to communicate effectively with our internal teams across departments.
