Hello {First Name}

This time of year, it's about spreading joy, warmth, and love in our communities, and what better way to do that than by visiting the Shipley Nature Center?

Whether you want to gather with friends and family or enjoy some peaceful solitude, the nature center offers a unique experience that is open to all. Take a stroll along the trails and savor the sights, sounds, and smells of the season.

We prioritize the safety of our visitors and will close the nature center in the

event of inclement weather, such as high wind or heavy rain. That's why we

encourage you to visit our website and social media for closures listed at the

bottom to stay informed before your visit. Also, explore the many paths and playgrounds within Huntington Central Park-East and West, including the Urban Forest and Secret Garden.

The nature center is normally open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 9 am to 1 pm. There is free parking on Goldenwest, across from the Library, and we suggest a walk-in donation of $3 per person.

We look forward to welcoming you to Shipley Nature Center soon.

Happy Holidays!

ABOUT KAY She has been an essential member of The Friends of Shipley Nature Center for twelve years. Her dedication and hard work have shaped this organization for the better. She has a natural ability to communicate complex ideas in a way that is easy to understand, making her an invaluable asset to our team.

One of her notable achievements was developing the Compost Center, where she instructs various methods for turning green waste and kitchen scrapes into rich compost. Kay is a recycle and reuse advocate, always encouraging others to avoid landfill waste.
