We're excited to share that we are again writing seasonal and secondary homes in New York! As we prepare for this exciting time, we have some important updates regarding requirements for these properties.

Form Updates:

We have updated our New York Seasonal Secondary Safeguard Endorsement to outline the responsibilities of policyholders, and failure to meet these requirements can limit claim settlement if a freeze claim occurs. This will be required on all new business submitted and will be added to renewal risks beginning May 19, 2024.

This form outlines the requirements for these NY homes, including:

• Maintaining heat at 60 degrees Fahrenheit and an installed water leak detection system with automatic mainline shutoff device with battery backup or

• Winterization, including shutting off the water supply and draining all systems and appliances of water.

Additionally, we understand the importance of providing peace of mind and protection for our policyholders, which is why we're also excited to introduce Zojacks water mitigation technology.
