A Diplomatic Affair

We kicked off the year by joining Ambassadors and High Commissioners from over 95 countries (and diplomats from over 120 countries) at an awards ceremony in April.
In great company with the BBC's diplomatic correspondent, James Landale as Master of Ceremonies, Chris Burke presented the 'Outstanding Contribution to the Commonwealth' award to Her Excellency Mrs Winnie Kiap, High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea in the UK.

From Four Wheels to Two

It was a pleasure to be the official logistics provider for the annual Aberdovey Bike Ride, supplying both storage and transport solutions for more than 700 riders and West Midlands Police G division.
Several Burke Bros vehicles were required at the event to transfer luggage and belongings to Aberdovey and then return hundreds of bikes back to the Midlands.  The bikes were then held and re-distributed from their bonded stores at the end of the weekend's fundraising event.
It was great news to hear that the event had smashed the previous year's fundraising total.
We look forward to next year's event!

Flying the Flag Internationally

We've been delighted to receive news that we have once again successfully proven our full compliance to the internal FAIM audit.
Furthermore, we have been commended for "demonstating a consistenly high level of quality" and have have been awarded the FAIM "confirmation of quality assurance certificate."
For our customers this means that they have global reassurances they are in safe hands when moving with Burke Bros Moving Group.
Christmas Arrived Early

It may have been too large to fit under the Christmas tree, but the latest addition to our fleet of vans arrived in time for Christmas, fully branded and ready to go.
It's fortunate we've been good this year as the van will be an important addition to our road train and be predominantly in use to meet the demand for our weekly services across Europe.
It was also great to see the the DAF 18T Euro 6 van on show at the Movers and Storers Show in Manchester earlier in the year.

The Festive Season

As we thank staff for another year of hard work and take a breather after  the pre-Christmas rush, the removal team have held their annual Christmas night out and  we look forward to marking the festive season with the office staff's night at the Oakley Arms, Brewood, to follow.

Dates for the Diary

Don't forget to look out for us at the France Show in Olympia during 25-27 January 2019, and then again at the Down Under Show Live Show in Birmingham on the 9-10 March 2019.
