The holidays hold special significance for Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative and me because they signal fresh starts and new beginnings. I hope you and yours will be gifted with great Joy this holiday season as we say goodbye to 2021 and move ahead to an exciting and new 2022!

Why am I so excited about 2022?

  • We’ll open the doors to the magnificent new Multi-Assistance Center at Morgan’s Wonderland, or The MAC.

  • We’ll celebrate the first full year of operation at both Morgan’s Wonderland Sports and Morgan’s Wonderland Camp.

Morgan’s Dad and Founder
Hello From Our New President/CEO!
Hi! I’m Dr. Brent Fields, and I’m thrilled to be the newly-named leader of Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative! Please permit me to tell you exactly how I feel as I begin my journey:
  • Grateful to work for such a worthy mission and to join such a dedicated team of professionals.
  • Honored to share this leadership transition experience with Ron Morander and to follow his decade of impactful service.
  • Excited to run my race and contribute to the continued growth of Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative.
I describe myself as an “organizational architect” and feel that I was hired to make sure our entire organization is aligned with our vision, mission and values…so we can continue our tremendous growth and create a more inclusive world. It’s a perfect fit for my passion, experience, and expertise. It’s more than just a job – it feels like a destiny thing for my whole family, and we know this move will be transformational for all of us.
Ultimately, as the parent of a child who is medically fragile and lives with multiple disabilities, I fully understand why the work of Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative is so important. So many people, like my daughter Chloe, are counting on us to do this great work and get it right. It’s because the Chloes of the world need and deserve to be included and to experience Ultra-Accessible™ services.

Before starting my new job, I spent over 40 hours with our founder, Gordon Hartman. I was drawn to what he does and how he shows up for the special-needs community – thinking big, moving fast, caring deeply, valuing excellence, and leading with integrity. Gordon has set the pace, and now it’s up to our talented team and me to follow Gordon’s example and truly make a difference.

Sincerely,
Dr. Brent Fields

Gala Highlights
A GIANT thank you to all who took part in “Celebrating a World of Inclusion,” our virtual gala in November on KSAT-12.

Both the virtual viewing and the in-person watch party/gala at Morgan’s Wonderland Camp were huge successes.  If you missed the televised gala, click the button below to watch it again.

Our in-person watch party had multiple highlights – introduction of this year’s Wall of Fame honorees (five heroes who’ve done magnificent things for those with special needs); touching farewell remarks from departing CEO Ron Morander; encouraging words from incoming CEO Dr. Brent Fields; a brief Austin Powers impersonation from our founder (Morgan’s Dad); and emcee’s Leslie Mouton and Adam Caskey kicking things off with a TikTok favorite, “Fancy Like.”

Stay tuned for details on how you can be a part of our next gala coming in November of 2022!
Radio Waves for Inclusion
We also want to recognize iHeart Media and 104.5 Latino Hits for hosting a radiothon on December 11th benefitting Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative. Tito and the gang shared our message of inclusion, and the community responded in a big way. It was a lot of fun to have them broadcast live from Morgan’s Wonderland!
Festival of Trees
We are honored to once again take part in the Village at Stone Oak’s 2nd Annual Festival of Trees. Check out our butterfly-inspired decorations!  You can vote through 11:59 PM on December 31st. Click here to vote for our Christmas Tree of Inclusion.
YOU have brought so many smiles to so many faces in 2021. Will you help us make more happy memories in 2022?

With your financial assistance, we can continue to offer opportunities for people of all abilities to enjoy together! As we say goodbye to 2021, please consider Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative in your end-of-year giving. All of your gifts are tax-deductible. We have many ways you can support our Journey of Inclusion. Click below to find out how. We wish you all a healthy, happy holiday season filled with Joy and smiles that lead to even more blessings for you in 2022!
Morgan's Wonderland
Morgan’s Wonderland is in full holiday mode, with the annual Wonderland Christmas currently underway.  If you haven’t made it out yet, there’s still time! Whether you want to sip complementary hot chocolate, take a photo with Santa, ice-skate, or just enjoy the falling snow and beautiful decorations, it’s a must-see event.
Our More Delightful than Frightful Halloween was another success story at Morgan’s Wonderland.  It was nice to welcome our guests back into the park and see so many smiles and creative costumes. What a spook-tacular time, and for such a great cause! With the help of our generous guests, we collected 2,092 pounds of
non-perishable food items for San Antonio Food Bank, and presented them with a $2,000 check! BOO-tiful!
Morgan's Wonderland Sports
Gobble Gobble!
On the sports front, our first Turkey Tourney with Chicken N Pickle was a big hit with pickleball players! We had 34 teams and raised more than $2,000 for Morgan’s Wonderland Sports. Congratulations to Sam Hojat and James Aguirre, winners for the competitive division, and Dustin Acklen and John De la Garza for the recreational division.
2021 Snowball 5K/1K

Up next for Sports, the annual Snowball run, walk, roll, and stroll! You still have time to sign up and move for inclusion.

The 5K-1K event is more than just a runner’s delight. Tito and Manny with Latino Hits will be on-site, with Christmas music playing from Q101.9. There will also be a resource fair, photo booth, and chances to win fun prizes!
And, if you haven’t experienced all Sports has to offer, we encourage you to check out our open play days.
Morgan's Wonderland Camp
Family Camp Weekend a Huge Success!

Our first Family Camp Weekend was a lot of fun, evident by memorable moments like this one. There was a campfire with s’mores, horseback riding, ziplining, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, morning jams, family photos, and much more!

Our second Family Camp Weekend is
officially scheduled from
January 28th – 30th, 2022.
Registration filled up fast, but you can still get on a waitlist!
The MAC
The MAC is making BIG progress! What an exciting opportunity to share construction progress with our community partners, The MACers! In November they had their first walkthrough of The MAC site.  We had close to 20 partners there to walk through all three floors to see their workspace and the rest of the building. Gordon Hartman and Allan Castro welcomed the MACers with opening remarks on the progression of construction and what’s in store for the future. The MACers were impressed with how fast construction is progressing. The MAC is still on track for Phase 1 to be completed next summer. Interior walls have been framed, and the rough-in process has been completed as well.  We are thankful for the continued support of The MAC.
