As always we remind our wonderful fellow faculty and staff that you can't take care of those you love, unless you take good care of yourself. So make yourself a priority and enjoy your winter break!!
Treat Yourself or a Friend to a Mini Spa Experience

Working with the team at One to One Fitness, the Wellness Program is once again offering seated massage to faculty and staff on Wednesdays in December. For only $15, enjoy a 13 minute seated massage for yourself or gift one to a co-worker!

Spaces are available on Wednesday, December 4 between 11 AM and 1 PM in Crawford 213.

Take 5 to Alleviate Holiday Stress
If you are looking for a brief spot of calm during the holidays, why not check out the Take 5 meditations on the Wellness Website. Each meditation is about 5 minutes long. Even short bouts of daily mediation have been shown to enhance feelings of calm and improve mood.

Readers Cheer! Books@Work is Back in January

Our very popular Books@Work program is back in January with one group meeting on Wednesdays at 1 PM in Crawford 720 and another on Thursdays at 12:30 in the Kelvin Smith Library.

During the 12 week series, participants will enjoy faculty led discussions of three books. Connection and respectful conversation always abound. Learn more about Books@Work by viewing our video or by visiting the Wellness website.

To register, participants must be able to commit to attend at least 10 of the 12 weeks.
Contact Mary Ann to be placed on a roster.
Holiday Rec Center Hours
Holiday hours at Wyant and Veale are posted.
Veale Recreation Center will be closed during the break, but Wyant Recreation Center will be open when we are at work right before and after the holiday break,

Free Fitness Assessment
Get a jump on your New Years' Resolution with a Fitness Assessment i n December.
During this free session, we will assess body weight, body fat, blood pressure, aerobic fitness, strength and flexibility. At the end of the assessment, participants will be offered a workout program for improvement. Learn more and register on the Wellness website.

Along with Books@Work, the Wellness Team is offering a full complement of series starting in January. We will offer:

Community Well-being: Healthy Lifestyle Bootcamp
Physical Activity: Coast to Coast; Yoga and Intro to Hip Hop Cycling
Stress Management: Release, Relax and Reach
Financial Well-being: Financial Wellness 101 and 201
Nutrition and Weight Management: A User's Guide to Functional Nutrition

As always, the classes and programs are opened on the Wellness Website in advance of the newsletter. If you know you want to get into a class, check the website in mid December. The registration links will be up then!
