This year’s Blue Jean Ball is adding a new level of entertainment in the form of a silent and live auction! If you have an item to donate (vacation home, products including but not limited to fashion or art items, or services such as fitness memberships, professional services or home improvement services), this is a great way to showcase your business! Donations of all kinds welcomed. Let a Pro Improve Your Game!
The Alpharetta Chamber Golf Networking League is offering ProTips - six individual exclusive sessions to help new or developing golfers improve their game. Each session includes 1 hour with the Golf Pro, 1 drink ticket, and access to the post-play Networking League social. Cost for each session is $40 and is limited to 10 attendees. Registration is required at alpharettachamber.com. For further information, contact Melody at memberservices@alpharettachamber.com. Alpharetta Retail Month Is On: Do You Have Your Card Yet?
Purchase an ARM card for $20 in April to receive a 20% discount at participating retailers all over the City of Alpharetta and help us spread the word. A portion of the proceeds will support Chamber non-profit member The Drake House. If you have a retail business (includes traditional retail stores, boutiques, specialty shops like wine, coffee, or gourmet markets, sweet treat shops, salons, spas, service centers, and more) or have one to recommend we include, please reach out to Melody at memberservices@alpharettachamber.com.
On the Border
The Alpharetta Chamber celebrated the newly remodeled On The Border Tex-Mex restaurant at David Drive and Mansell Road with a Grand Reopening Ribbon Cutting on April 26th. The restaurant remodel and décor is the first venue of its style in the US; other corporate stores and franchises are expected to follow. We welcome back another hospitality establishment to Alpharetta and wish them all the best in this recovering economy!
VIP Seating, LLC
The Alpharetta Chamber celebrated! the Grand Opening of the new showroom of VIP Seating, LLC, a 9000 ft2 venue in Mansell Crossing on North Point Pkwy with a Ribbon Cutting on April 29th. VIP Seating provides event furnishings and décor at wholesale prices. The Chamber wishes VIP Seating all the best as celebrations and events return to the area!
Nominations May 15 - June 15 for the Best of North Fulton Awards
Appen Media Group’s annual “Best of” Awards are coming up! Nominations in all categories will be taken May 15th through June 15th. Be sure to support the Alpharetta Chamber in the category we are so good at – “Best Networking Group.”

Speaking of networking, if you haven’t yet been to The Wednesday Social, we are live and in person, and we have had some great connections made! The next Wednesday Social is May 19th at White Columns Country Club, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.. We’ll be socializing as well with the Golf Network League and Golf ProTips members as they come off the links so we are expecting some great networking opportunities. Register now for The Wednesday Social at this link.
Bike Drive for Fulton County Schools by North Point Community Church
North Point Community Church is collecting bikes of all sizes this May 2 to 14 for underserved students of Fulton County Schools. Donations for the purchase of new bikes and helmets are also being requested. Please help them get the word out in the community by sharing this link on your social media: https://northpoint.org/bike-drive. If your business is willing to post a flyer about this, please email amanda.roper@northpoint.org. If you have bike repair training skills the church can leverage May 13 any time from 9 a.m. to noon (free lunch served), please email intersect@northpoint.org to sign up to help with minor bike repairs and inspections.
Applications Now Being Taken for Ambassadors!
The world is emerging from COVID and getting back to business! Our numbers are growing, and the Chamber is looking for enthusiastic and professional men and women to serve in this prestigious program. Ambassadors help onboard new members, facilitate networking, help host Chamber events, and serve as the face of the Chamber in our community. Candidates must be a 1+ year member of the Chamber, a good listener with a heart for helping businesses succeed, and be able to attend monthly Ambassador meetings in addition to their new member duties. In return, Ambassadors are able to put this important leadership position on their CV, and in the course of their duties gain more connections and networking opportunities. To obtain more information on the Ambassador Program or to request an application, please reach out to Melody Cookson at memberservices@alpharettachamber.com.
