Heidi Ray |
Director of Capital Construction, Facilities, and
Security for Funko

My career in FM started early on in my education. As a member of the USCG Engineering department we learned how "things" should work and we developed the ingenuity to repair assets during critical missions. The ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot while working in adverse conditions with urgent timelines is an accurate description of our FM industry today. They say in the FM world "good maintenance is invisible" which is only true to those outside our industry. Facility managers are known as the heroes or the zeroes during catastrophic failure or worse, when there is no cooling on the hottest day of the year.
I have spent three decades augmenting my technical skills by working in highly regulated industries: Higher Education campuses, Continual Care facilities, and Research and Development labs. I honed my management and leadership skills, found incredible mentors, and made wonderful mistakes. Now, I love my job and am grateful for the skill set to success fully build an empire of FUN at Funko. I look forward to talking with you all.
