“Evening of Global Jazz” Concert Spotlights New Cultural Programming
at Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Boyhood Home
The very successful “Evening of Global Jazz” Concert held at Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Boyhood Home in Raymond (40 Hawthorne Road) on Friday, April 18, helped spotlight the historic home’s expanding role as a cultural and arts destination in the Sebago Lake area.
With a maximum capacity of 50 people, the concert was nearly sold out, as the concert-goers greatly enjoyed the upbeat, melodious, peaceful music of the widely acclaimed McCoy Mrubata / Gary Wittner Duo, comprised of South African saxophonist/composer McCoy Mrubata and his friend, guitarist Gary Wittner.
