“Craving Cool” is the current art exhibition through August 20.
15 artists are exhibiting their original artwork. The show features artists’ interpretations and impressions of what it means to stay cool this summer, from work focused on cool hues to depictions of ways to enjoy summer despite the heat!

Community Mosaic Dedication
the Community Mosaic that was made by residents of Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP) - residents from the Pembridge Square and Amherst Garden apartments in Wheaton.
The project was led by mosaic artists, Edwin Salmeron and Ge'Vonna Keyes of Whimsy Mosaics along with the residents.
Dan Thompson, Wheaton Arts Parade CEO, Councilmember Natalie Fani-Gonzalez and MHP President Robert Goldman spoke at the dedication, along with several artists.

A new WDCE scholarship for financially-eligible, job seekers who are ready to get to work by June 30, 2024, is now ready for applicants!
The Robert I. Schattner Job Training and Certification Scholarship is now available to receive applications during the open period from July 5 - August 4, 2023. Information about the scholarship, eligibility requirements, a list of qualified courses, the application and more are now on the WDCE Career Path Scholarship page.
Full scholarships, career navigation, certification exam fees, and required books are built into the program. This grant should serve 50-60 people who establish eligibility. Apply now and don't miss the deadline!
