The Across Border Global Games and their partners have come together to deliver a premier post-season high school basketball event on a global stage. The Second Annual Across Border Global Games (ABGG) at The RISE Centre on Friday May 11 th , 2018-Saturday May 12 th , 2018. The Across Border Global Games is the First Women All Star game in Canada, compared to McDonald’s All-American and the Jordan Brand events.

Three games will be featured on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 as follows:
·     2:00 pm ABGG Futures Game @theRISEcentre
·     4:00 pm ABGG Underclassman Game @theRISEcentre
·     6:00 pm ABGG Upperclassman Game @theRISEcentre

The stars were shooting May 12th, 2018 at the RISE Centre.TRC Academy hosted the second annual Across Border Global Games in Brantford-ON, pitting Canada vs the United States in a trio of all-star basketball games, featuring some of the best high school and prep players in North America. The ABGG is the first women’s all-star game in Canada that can be compared to the McDonald’s All-American and Jordan Brand events. And the Canada vs USA matchup put a lot more pride on the line, especially since there were 17 States and four provinces represented over the three games.
 
#ABGG FUTURES GAME
Adding to second annual #ABGG Showcase is an exciting Futures Game. The USA Selects take Canada with a 98-86 victory with a super talented American squad, featuring many top D1 recruits.
In the Futures Game, that kicked things off, Ta’Niya Latson (2022 Honolulu, Hawaii) led the way for the USA, scoring 26 points to earn her team’s Most Valuable Player award in its 98-86 victory. Shayanne Day-Wilson (2021 Toronto, Ontario) led the Canadians with 26 points to earn MVP honours for her team.

#ABGG UNDERCLASSMEN GAME
In the Underclassmen Game, the Canadians earned its first-ever ABGG win, thanks to a 109-96 win over a very impressive USA squad, featuring a handful of the top players in the country.  
In the Underclassmen Game, the Canadians earned its first-ever ABGG win, thanks to a 109-96 win over a very impressive USA squad, featuring a handful of the top players in the country. Many USA Canadian National team hopefuls played in both 2017 and 2018 Across Border Global Games.
Merissah Russell (2020 – Ottawa, Ontario) had a huge game in red and white, scoring 36 points to earn her team's MVP honors.  At the other end, Jordan Horston (2019 – Columbus, Ohio) paced the USA with 27 points in a losing effort.

#ABGG UPPERCLASSMEN GAME
In the finale, both Upperclassmen teams were stacked with players heading off to post NCAA DI ball in the fall. Despite that, the Americans cruised to an easy 111-61 victory. 
Rhyne Howard (2018 – Cleveland, Tennessee), who is heading to the University of Kentucky, scouted 15 points and was named MVP was named MVP for the USA. Niyah Becker (2018 – Winnipeg, Manitoba), who is going to play for the University of Utah, had a great game despite the loss and scored 16 points to be the Canadian MVP.
