Making A Difference, Creating a Connection

In the past week, Dr. Jeffery (NWMS President) and Dr. Ellingsen (NWMS VP) went to Olympia to meet the Washington State Senators and Representatives of the 40th and 42nd Legislative Districts. The conversation was not only about issues WSMA prepped physicians to discuss, but the opioid crisis in Whatcom County. NWMS is a reliable medical resource for these legislators to become informed and hear professional experiences from your point of view.

Rep. Rule, Rep. Lekanoff, and Rep. Timmons are interested in speaking directly with the medical society. Plans are in place. Rep. Lekanoff is interested in hearing statistics from the area that are important from a medical perspective. If you have any information to add, email: nwms@hinet.org
