Wandering & Wondering with Pastor Carrie
Relationships. Community. Belonging.
These three words are at the core of who I am. It’s how I interpret scripture. It’s how I try to be as a minister. And it’s how I most view my ministry. The core of our connecting with God is relationship and knowing that we belong.
I am so excited to connect with you, hear your story, and discover what God will de in and through and with us.
To make this a little easier, I have created a book page through Google. Click on the button below, select the day and time that works best, then we will decide where to meet. I have tried to make it accessible and with a lot of different times. If there is a time that does not work, though, just reach out and let me know. And of course my door will be open for you to drop by!
Peace.
Carrie

Summer Sundays at 2b
The Vision & Leadership Team has approved the following summer schedule, effective Sunday, July 6 through Sunday, August 31. We will move to a single Worship Service at 9:15 AM, followed by Sunday School classes at 10:30 AM.
Summer brings a natural shift in rhythm, and this unified schedule allows our entire church family to worship together. It’s a chance to reconnect, simplify, and share in one service as a community. We also encourage Sunday School classes to plan lunch gatherings after class for continued fellowship.
If you have any questions, please contact the church office. We look forward to this shared season with you.

Interested in Teaching
Sunday School?
We’re looking for volunteers to teach 1st and 2nd grade, as well as 3rd–5th grade Sunday School. This is a great way to serve our church family and still attend your own class. The commitment is just six weeks per year, and all training and support are provided. It’s a meaningful way to connect with our children and play a part in their spiritual growth while getting involved in the life of our church. If you have questions, contact Annie Bray or the church office.

Join our Ushering Team
Looking for a simple, meaningful way to serve at Second B? Our Sunday ushering teams help greet worshipers, hand out bulletins, assist with offerings, and create a welcoming atmosphere each week. It’s a small but powerful way to help people feel at home from the moment they walk through the doors.
No experience is needed, just a friendly face and a willingness to serve! If you’re interested in joining this ministry, contact Alan Lackey at alanloydlackey@gmail.com.

Check Out the Thank You Board
Inside the church office, across from the receptionist desk, you’ll find our Thank You Board—a space dedicated to sharing notes and letters of gratitude from those who have been touched by the ministry and care of Second B. These messages offer a glimpse into the ways our church makes a difference in people’s lives, both near and far. We invite you to stop by, take a moment to read the kind words, and be encouraged by the impact our community continues to make.
If you have a note of thanks or a meaningful message you'd like to share, please contact Tracy Douthitt at tracy@secondb.org.

Join Our Golf Cart Team
Be the first friendly face people see on Sunday mornings! Our golf cart team greets people as they arrive, offering rides and a warm welcome from the parking lot to the church doors. It’s a great way to extend hospitality, lend a helping hand, and connect with others before they even step inside.
We’ll show you everything you need to know, and you’ll be part of a team that makes a real difference each week.
If you’re interested in joining, contact Mike King at mike.king@verizon.net.
