Church Conference This Wednesday
Join us for our Church Conference on Wednesday, March 12, at 6:00 PM following the Fellowship Dinner. This is an important time to gather, discuss church updates, and make key decisions together. We encourage all members to attend.

2025 Deacon Nominations
Nominate digitally at secondb.org/deacons
The Diaconate of Second Baptist Church has determined the need for additional Deacons to serve the congregation. The Deacon Executive Committee, in accordance with the Covenant of Community, has thus decided that approximately 10 new Deacons will be added.
The qualifications for being a Deacon at Second Baptist Church are as follows:
a. Be a member of Second Baptist Church for a minimum of two (2) years.
b. Live in ministry consistent with Christ's example of service in love to others and discipline themselves to grow spiritually through worship, prayer and Bible study.
c. Set an example in monetary stewardship to Second Baptist Church by tithing or working toward tithing.
d. Serve in a specific place of ministry, share God's love, and invite others to participate at Second Baptist Church.
Nominations will be accepted Sunday March 2 through Sunday March 23, 2025 at noon.

Lenten Lunch
with Rolando Orta
Continue your Lenten journey with us at Lenten Lunch on Thursday, March 13, at 12:00 PM. This gathering offers worship, reflection, and fellowship as we prepare for Easter.
Our guest speaker, Rolando Orta, is a gifted pianist, vocalist, and worship leader with over 40 years in ministry. He currently serves as the Senior Adult Minister and Worship Pastor at First Baptist Levelland and has accompanied and performed across Texas. He has taught as an Adjunct Piano Professor at Odessa College and Navarro College and has worked with various choirs, ensembles, and worship groups.
A meal of homemade soup and sandwiches will follow. Whether you’ve attended before or this is your first time, all are welcome to take part in this meaningful tradition.

Lenten Prayer Walk
Beginning Monday, March 10, a prayer walk will be available in the Grand Hall every Monday throughout Lent from 10 AM to 4 PM. It guides you through moments of reflection, scripture, and prayer as you journey toward Easter. Whether you stop by for a few minutes or take your time moving through the stations, all are welcome to engage in this practice of spiritual renewal.

Fellowship Dinner
Join us on Wednesday, March 12th, at 5:15 PM for our Fellowship Dinner!
Enjoy meatloaf, au gratin potatoes, green bean casserole, tossed salad, rolls, and dessert. Kids 12 and under eat free with a menu of chicken nuggets, corn dogs, French fries, mac & cheese, green beans, and dessert.
