B&B Book Club: New Book Starting May 13
The B&B Book Club will begin reading Good Soil by Jeff Chu on Tuesday, May 13. Join us Tuesdays at 11:00 AM for thoughtful conversation and community. All are welcome!
Good Soil: The Education of an Accidental Farmhand is Jeff Chu’s personal and often humorous account of leaving city life to join a Christian farming community in Michigan. With no experience, he and his husband learned as they went, growing not just crops but also faith, identity, and belonging. It is a story of doubt, transformation, and the unexpected places where grace takes root.

Join our Ushering Team
Looking for a simple, meaningful way to serve at Second B? Our Sunday ushering teams help greet worshipers, hand out bulletins, assist with offerings, and create a welcoming atmosphere each week. It’s a small but powerful way to help people feel at home from the moment they walk through the doors.
No experience is needed, just a friendly face and a willingness to serve! If you’re interested in joining this ministry, contact Alan Lackey at alanloydlackey@gmail.com.

Check Out the Thank You Board
Inside the church office, across from the receptionist desk, you’ll find our Thank You Board—a space dedicated to sharing notes and letters of gratitude from those who have been touched by the ministry and care of Second B. These messages offer a glimpse into the ways our church makes a difference in people’s lives, both near and far. We invite you to stop by, take a moment to read the kind words, and be encouraged by the impact our community continues to make.
If you have a note of thanks or a meaningful message you'd like to share, please contact Tracy Douthitt at tracy@secondb.org.

Join Our Golf Cart Team
Be the first friendly face people see on Sunday mornings! Our golf cart team greets people as they arrive, offering rides and a warm welcome from the parking lot to the church doors. It’s a great way to extend hospitality, lend a helping hand, and connect with others before they even step inside.
We’ll show you everything you need to know, and you’ll be part of a team that makes a real difference each week.
If you’re interested in joining, contact Mike King at mike.king@verizon.net.
