LAST CALL TO HELP WEST VIEW SCHOOL

We are wrapping up the sale of coupon books this Sunday, September 25th as we, as a church, provide assistance to our “adopted school”. Sandra Butler will be in the Atrium before and after worship to sell and deliver pre-orders. John Butler will be selling books at the exit towards the courtyard after worship. Thanks to each that helped send 100% of your purchase price to West View School!

Peace & Global Witness Offering

The Peace and Global Witness Offering will be received on World Communion Sunday, October 2nd. You can also mail your offering to the Church Office.

Through the Peace & Global Witness Offering, we connect with each other to confront systems of injustice and promote reconciliation in our own community.

October 8 Representatives from Second Church’s PW will attend a Spiritual Retreat at John Knox Center, near Kingston, —sponsored by the Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of East Tennessee. Nancy Dimmock, in public health missions for more than 30 years, will be the guest speaker.

October 11 Second’s PW group will meet from 10-11:30 for its October meeting in the Fellowship Hall.

If you like to shop, this month (September) , the FISH Pantry mission is in special need of the following household and personal items:

* Diapers (sz. 0 & 1)

* Shampoo

* Dish Soap

* Toothpaste

* Gallon Size Ziplock Bags

* Powder Detergent

Our once-a-month FISH team receives phone call requests for food and these additional items; they are then sorted, packed, and delivered to each client's household.

All donations should be newly purchased, and any quantities would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to your generosity, we have plenty of the following items for now:

Bath soap, toilet paper, adult and children's diapers (except children's sz. 0 & 1) , so we do not need more of those items at this time.
