Second Sunday of Easter:
Divine Mercy Sunday
| |
When I caught sight of Jesus, I fell down at his feet as though dead. He touched me with his right hand and said, “Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last, the one who lives. Once I was dead, but now I am alive forever and ever. I hold the keys to death and the netherworld. Write down, therefore, what you have seen, and what is happening, and what will happen afterwards.” ~Revelation 1 | |
Dear Parishioners and Friends:
The Easter Season continues with Divine Mercy Sunday. Consider joining us for an hour of prayer before the Holy Eucharist and the prayers for Divine Mercy this Sunday, 3pm, at Christ the King Church.
Congratulations to our Saint Kateri Confirmation candidates! Last Tuesday we gathered at Sacred Heart Cathedral with Bishop Matano for a wonderful celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
We are looking forward to May 8th when the parish community will witness children receiving the Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time.
These Sacraments are significant milestones for our young people and their parents. Let us pray for our young people as they continue their faith journey. May Jesus keep them safe.
And that violence may cease, and peace may come to our world between Russia and Ukraine, let us also keep praying for the intercessions of Holy Mary, the Queen of Heaven and Earth. "Pray for us, Holy Mother of God!"
May God bless you.
Fr. Gonyo

Journey Through Grief - Support Groups.
My sisters and brothers suffering from the death of a loved one, I invite you to share in our bereavement program “Journey Through Grief” at Saint Kateri Parish. You don’t have to walk alone.
We will form friendly, caring, small groups of people sharing similar situations who can listen and support one another. We will help get your group moving and then, when the time is right, your group can move forward on its own. Occasionally, we will meet as a larger group for discussions and guest speakers.
For more information, please call Deacon Lon Smith at (544-8880 x 3103) or email me at Lon.Smith@Dor.org.
God, grant me the strength to keep moving when I can, the grace to rest when I need to, and the wisdom to know the difference.
