Second Round of Microgrants Program Launches
With support from the Oregon Department of Education, the Mid-Valley STEM-CTE Hub has launched a second round of microgrants to educators from schools and community-based organizations in Linn & Benton Counties.

The MidValley STEM-CTE Hub’s goal is to ensure that all P-20 students in our region have access to meaningful STEM and CTE experiences. We firmly believe that supporting great teaching and our local community ecosystems are some of the best ways to achieve that goal.

The MVSCH microgrants will be awarded to fund equity-focused, STEM-CTE related projects or initiatives, especially for those furthest from opportunity.

To learn more about these microgrant opportunities, please visit our website.

Partner with the Mid-Valley STEM-CTE Hub
Now more than ever, it’s imperative we provide young people from our region opportunities in STEM/CTE fields and professions to prepare them with the skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

Please consider partnering with the Mid-Valley STEM Hub if you're interested in any of the following:

  • Exposing students to STEM/CTE experiences and professions at a young age, through a lens of inquiry and curiosity;
  • Advising education programs to train students in STEM/CTE fields and soft skills, so they are ready to join your workforce;
  • Hosting internships, allowing job shadows, and visiting classrooms virtually to help students choose a career path that fits their skills and interests;
  • Providing equipment and funds to develop your diverse and local future workforce.

Visit our Partner page and fill out our Partnership form to join with us to help create relevant, hands-on learning opportunities and career exploration in STEM/CTE fields.

Inventor's Workshop
Ready to start inventing from home?

The Mid-Valley STEM-CTE Hub has created this course that kids can take on their own or with very little help from an adult! The Makey Makey is an electronic invention kit for all ages! The Makey Makey allows you to take everyday objects and combine them with the internet. Using the alligator clips attached to any conductive material you can control the keyboard of your computer, such as the space bar, arrow keys, and left-click of the mouse. When you are ready the back of the Makey Makey allows you to keymap even more keys!

The Mid-Valley STEM-CTE Hub will provide a Makey Makey for each participant. Click here to register.
