We are excited to announce that beginning April 15, 2025, Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort is expected to undergo a transformative enhancement project that is expected to elevate the experience guests have come to know and love.
This renovation will truly capture the heart and soul of the resort, transforming it into a sanctuary where guests can forge a profound connection with nature while prioritizing their wellbeing. Picture this: spaces inspired by the serene coastal landscape, adorned with natural materials that breathe tranquility, complemented by a soothing color palette that invites relaxation, all enveloped in an open, light-filled ambiance. Upon completion, Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort will debut the following enhancements:
Updated guest rooms: All guest rooms will feature a refreshed, contemporary design, drawing inspiration from the serenity of the sea, the vastness of the horizon, and the tranquility of the coast. Each element has been thoughtfully designed to promote relaxation and comfort, with soft textures, organic shapes, and a fluid layout that invites guests to unwind and disconnect.
New Preferred Club areas: Preferred Club guests will have access to a new, two-story building, which features a dedicated check-in lounge and an exclusive restaurant with breathtaking ocean views. Preferred Club guests will also have access to a newly constructed private beach club, which is designed for relaxation overlooking the sea.
Refreshed public areas and Secrets Spa: The Rendezvous lobby bar will be relocated to the former main lobby, creating a captivating sense of arrival. Additionally, the check-in area will be relocated closer to guestrooms, ensuring a seamless and convenient experience. Further, the world-class Secrets Spa will be fully renovated, enhancing the space for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Enhanced entertainment and dining: Both Desires Night Club and Coco Café will be redesigned to create a refreshed, vibrant atmosphere. Additional renovations to dining venues include upgrades to Portofino, the Italian restaurant, and the transformation of Bordeaux, the French restaurant, into an Amazonian-themed dining experience featuring a Chef’s Table.
