MNN has recently partnered with First Nonprofit Group (FNG) to provide our members with the opportunity to save up to 60% on unemployment insurance costs. Since 2001, FNG has helped over 1,400 nonprofit organizations across the country save over $68 million in unemployment taxes. We know that nonprofits are frequently asked to do more with less; as such, we want to ensure our members have ample opportunities to save money in smart ways such as these. Participation in FNG programs provides a fixed annual cost, claims representation in unemployment hearings, no pooling or shared risk, and more benefits. MNN has signed on to  The Boston 100% Talent Compact, a first-in-the-nation effort created by the Mayor of Boston, the Boston Women's Workforce Council, and Boston University created to level the playing field for working women. Today is National Voter Registration Day, an annual one-day nonpartisan event created to register all eligible voters and to make sure no one misses the opportunity to vote due to a registration problem. MNN believes that an engaged, informed, and active citizenry strengthens communities and that it is vital that the people served by nonprofits have the opportunity to participate in our democracy. We encourage you to share with your network the National Voter Registration Day 2017 tool to find free statewide voter registration events taking place across the country. If you're already registered, make sure to get out and vote!

Presented by  Bank of America Charitable Foundation  and  Associated Grant Makers , the  Nonprofit Learning Institute  each year brings 20 organizations from a broad cross-section of the nonprofit sector together to participate in a series of technical assistance and capacity building sessions. Each organization sends two attendees to sessions led by experts from leading service organizations and/or consultants in different topic areas. In addition to the sessions, there are a number of supplementary opportunities to meaningfully engage, network, and share experiences with your peer participants. The program was founded in 2011 and is sponsored by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation. Over the last six years, this program has increased the effectiveness of 100 organizations from throughout Massachusetts. The Northeast Arc and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation want your ideas to identify innovative concepts to help positively disrupt the system to improve the lives of persons with intellectual disabilities and/or autism and their families. They are looking for out-of-the-box ideas and people who can imagine possibilities, be creative, and who want to change the status quo. The Northeast Arc is awarding up to a total of $200,000 through the Changing Lives Fund, to one or multiple innovative ideas, during the inaugural The Arc Tank competition. Quincy Miller of Eastern Bank has been chosen as a member of the expert panel for this year's competition. All applications are due no later than September 29. For more on application requirements and overall details about the competition, click here. 

The Bridgespan Group is working with six local funders to provide Leading for Impact®, an innovative capacity building program, to nonprofits in the Boston area. Leading for Impact® is a city-based consulting program designed to help ambitious nonprofits pursue strategic opportunities and build capacity to both improve their performance over time and achieve greater, local impact. Through Leading for Impact®, Bridgespan will help accelerate the impact of 50 high-potential nonprofit organizations in the Boston area through 2021. They will be launching cohorts of eight to nine organizations every six months, and Bridgespan is currently enrolling for the cohort that will start in December 2017. This program is best suited for organizations that are working to increase social mobility in the greater Boston area, and that have executive teams of four to six individuals. Please see the  list of organizations that have participated in the program.
