Community Conversations serve as a forum for the Tompkins Chamber and Visit Ithaca to engage leaders of businesses and organizations in different localities within Tompkins County and allow us to better understand and support the unique needs of each community. All business owners, non-profit leaders, and government officials are invited to attend. “Kaplan Cousins Improvise Again” at The Hangar Theatre
Saturday, March 28 at 7:30pm
Ilan and Gavin Kaplan will bring the chemistry they’ve been building since childhood to a hilarious improv performance that creates an entire show on the spot out of a single word suggestion. Opening for the Kaplan Cousins are members of Ithaca’s Third Place Theater, a local improv comedy theater that hosts shows, jams and other events almost every week. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students, and can be purchased online or at the door.

Ithaca Spring Quest
March 28 - April 18
Ithaca Spring Quest is a community-wide scavenger hunt sending families and friends on a riddle-solving adventure through Ithaca's streets, neighborhoods, and local businesses. Teams register for $45 and follow a series of clues to discover some of Ithaca's favorite spots along the way. Complete the quest and earn a surprise gift; finish in the top three and win a prize generously donated by local business partners. Ithaca Waldorf School would love to see the whole community out there exploring Ithaca together this spring!

Orozco Gallery Hosts Pop-Up Gallery & Community Event Series
Events throughout April and early May
Orozco Gallery will open its doors for the second year as a vibrant pop-up space dedicated to creativity, connection, and cultural celebration. Throughout the month, the gallery will feature artist talks, live music, dance performances, workshops, film screenings, and family-friendly gatherings, inviting community members of all ages to participate in a welcoming, sober environment. Many events are free or offered on a sliding scale to ensure accessibility. Select programs require RSVP.

Old Greeny Fringe Fest Preview Show
Thursday, April 2nd | 6pm
Old Greeny Fringe Fest is coming to the shores of Cayuga Lake in late April, and there will be a preview show at Liquid State Brewing Co. on April 2nd, 2026, to give audience members a sneak peek of what’s to come! The preview show for Old Greeny Fringe Fest features short previews of 6 fringe fest events and a special guest appearance by a mysterious figure. The acts for the evening will include music, comedy, clowning, theatre and more! This event is free and open to the public.

Trumansburg Library’s Spring Book Sale is coming soon!
April 16-19
Ulysses Philomathic Library’s Spring Book Sale will take place at the library, located at 74 E. Main St. in Trumansburg. The sale is open to the public on Thursday, April 16th and Friday April 17th from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, April 18th, the sale runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both Saturday and Sunday are Name-Your-Price-Days. Please note that book sellers with scanners will not be allowed until Saturday/Sunday.
