Hi Keaveny,
We have some exciting updates and opportunities to share with you that can help your students explore the concrete industry in fun and engaging ways!
Skate4Concrete
If you haven’t already, check out our new interactive map that shows which schools are currently implementing the Skate4Concrete curriculum. It’s a great resource for seeing how other educators are using this free, hands-on program to introduce students to concrete careers. If you’ve already started using the curriculum, don’t forget to sign your students up for our Mini Skatepark Competition! This is a fantastic opportunity for your students to showcase their skills and creativity. To participate, simply email Joseph at jmcdaniel@tnconcrete.org to get your team involved.
Essay Contest
Encourage your students to participate in our Essay Contest! This is another way for them to dive deeper into the concrete industry and get recognized for their insights and perspectives.
Concrete Quest
We’re thrilled to announce that our first Concrete Quest winner, Emma, a sophomore at Heritage High School, has successfully completed Level I of the program. Emma’s dedication earned her an Amazon gift card, and your students can win too! Concrete Quest is a fantastic way for students to learn about the industry while earning rewards. Make sure to encourage your students to sign up and play!
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We’re excited to continue supporting your classrooms with engaging, career-building opportunities for students!
Best,
Alan Sparkman
