VirtualOffiCenters/OffiCenters Monthly Newsletter
Featuring Opportunities for Creative Collaboration

Notes From Lori
Thank you for your participation in our 2016 holiday lunches. We served over 500 members in our five locations and I had an opportunity to thank so many of you for your business, friendship and your referrals. In 2016, over half of our referrals came from our VirtualOffiCenter community. We share our success with all of you, our Brand Ambassadors! Also, a heartfelt thank you for the outpouring of love and support that came from everyone as we sadly lost our Official OffiCenter Goodwill Ambassador with the passing of our father. He was still doing picture hanging and work for us even at 88 years old. This was the first year he didn't serve lasagna at our Holiday Luncheons, although he DID attend the first two at International Plaza & Minnetonka as our Special Guest of Honor and enjoyed visiting with members! Dad was so proud of our achievements and innovative workspaces. The words I use to describe my dad are amazing and positive. He believed in Lea and I and taught us we could do anything and we believed him! We celebrated his life on December 26 and I want to thank the many staff and clients who trekked to the East side of St. Paul to join us. Lea and I were so honored to share this day not only with our family, but with our friends who have become family through the years. Dad's legacy will live on through us and the work we do to foster the entrepreneurial spirit.
NOW . . . Let's get a fresh start in 2017! I think January is a great time to write few goals for the new year. Jot them into your end of December time slot, just to see how you performed. Is there a client you have been meaning to pursue? A sales figure you want to achieve? I know a great networking group that meets at Park OffiCenter this Thursday! An hour a week can help your business just by meeting new people within our Community. We have a community network meeting almost every week, every month. Can you make it a goal to go to a free community networking meeting every month? Maybe two? Studies show involvement in a business community will positively impact your bottom line. Isn't that a goal that every business strives to achieve? Look forward to seeing you in the centers and talking about our goals for 2017.
Wishing you health and prosperity in this New Year.

Don't Sit, Get Fit!

We're ready for action at Minnetonka in our Walk & Talk Conference Room! We have two Active Station adjustable desks to help promote  activity throughout the day allowing for walking or standing meetings. Increasing physical activity will ultimately lead to an increase in productivity, idea generation, and overall workflow improvement. When we are physically more active our brains are also more active. So, take the first step to increasing work productivity and get active! Walking desks have a 48" desktop that has been sized perfectly to use while walking on the treadmill. They also include an integrated control console allowing you to easily change speed, track distance, and count calories with the simple push of a button. Best of all, when you give it a try this month, your first hour will be FREE! Resolve to get up and walk!

OneCommunity supported Christmas in the City with a generous donation to help purchase Christmas trees,
food and gifts for families in need.  See how Christmas wishes become a reality.

We were pleased to shop for the children of the Project Elf family. Each child received a bag of gifts reflecting who they are and what they like most. Read more about this year's family and Project Elf.

Toys and hats and mittens! That's what they asked for and that's what we donated to help support the VEAP Toy Drive at International Plaza. Toys went locally to families unable to purchase holiday gifts. Learn about VEAP and how you can help.
