Update by the Numbers

Over the last month, Soulful Seeds has continued to cultivate community, nourishment, and opportunity through our garden programs. Here's a snapshot of what we've accomplished together:

  • 450 volunteer hours were hosted in the garden. About 30% of those hours came from garden neighbors and community groups, where food is available.
  • We distributed 2,728 pounds of produce to garden guests, pantry partners, neighbors, and volunteers through markets and after garden work.
  • We hosted 28.75 hours of same day work and pay, reinforcing our commitment to accessible, dignified opportunities for skill-building and income.
  • Garlic planting began at both gardens, with sights set on an early summer 2026 harvest.
  • Earstin’s annual garlic class took place at the Soulful Seeds Garden at Our Place. Attendees received hands-on training and went home with their own seed garlic.

Thank you for being part of this growing movement. Every hour, every harvest, and every shared skill brings us closer to a more nourished and connected community.

Soulful Seeds 2025 Giving Campaign

Rooted in Community, Nourishing More Than Hunger

As the season of giving begins, Soulful Seeds is inspired by the early generosity that’s already helping us nourish more than hunger. Our 2025 year-end giving campaign is underway, and the initial contributions have laid a strong foundation—reflecting a deep commitment to our mission and a shared belief in the power of community.

Early support does more than fund our work—it sends a message. It says: “We believe in this.” It sparks momentum, encourages broader participation, and creates a welcoming space for others to get involved.

Giving Tuesday Is December 2, 2025 — And Your Gift Will Be Matched!

We’re thrilled to participate in Giving Tuesday on December 2, 2025, a global day of generosity that beautifully aligns with our values. Even more exciting: thanks to a generous match donor, every gift made on Giving Tuesday will be doubled—amplifying your impact and helping us reach more neighbors with fresh food, meaningful work, and community connection.

Whether you give once or become a monthly donor, your support plants seeds of change—helping us grow food, build relationships, and stay rooted in community.

We’re deeply grateful for the early momentum. Together, we’re cultivating a future rooted in generosity, resilience, and shared purpose.

Thank You, Nature’s Path Gardens for Good

Soulful Seeds is deeply grateful to be a recipient of the Nature’s Path Gardens for Good grant. This support helps us grow more than just food—it strengthens the roots of connection, dignity, and shared purpose in our community.

With this grant, we’re able to deepen our impact: expanding access to fresh produce, creating hands-on learning opportunities, and offering meaningful work in our gardens. Nature’s Path’s commitment to organic food and community wellness mirrors our own mission, and we’re honored to be part of a network of gardens growing good across the country.

From all of us at Soulful Seeds, thank you for helping us stay rooted in community—where every seed planted is a step toward a more nourished and connected future.
