Empowering Independent Futures

Fall 2026

Dear Friends,

Welcome to The Price Center’s new donor newsletter. I am delighted to have this opportunity to bring you closer to our mission, our progress, and most importantly, the individuals we serve and the impact your generosity makes possible in their lives.

For almost five decades, The Price Center has supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, to pursue lives filled with greater independence, purpose, connection, and choice. Every person who comes through our doors brings unique strengths, aspirations, and possibilities—and it is our privilege to help them build lives that reflect who they are and what they hope to achieve.

Today, we are building on that remarkable legacy in exciting ways—from innovative residential and specialized supports to expanded community experiences, meaningful employment opportunities, and initiatives like the Kindness Café, where individuals are building skills, confidence, and pathways to employment.

Philanthropy is an essential part of this progress. Public funding provides a foundation for our services, but the generosity of our donors allows us to reach further—to innovate, respond to emerging needs, invest in exceptional programs and people, and create opportunities that otherwise might not be possible.

Through this newsletter, we look forward to sharing those possibilities with you—the people, the progress, the stories, and the moments that demonstrate what your partnership can achieve.

As we approach our fifth decade, I am deeply grateful for those who believe in the potential of the individuals we serve and invest in a future where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

Together, we are turning generosity into opportunity—and possibility into impact.

With gratitude,

Abigail “Abby” Parrilla,

Chief Executive Officer

Celebrating Rebecca’s Gold-Medal Success!

Congratulations to Rebecca Reynders, a participant in The Price Center’s Specialized Supports program, on an incredible year in figure skating!

Rebecca proudly earned two Gold Medals in 2026—one with Overture of Boston at the National Theater On Ice Competition and another in Special Olympics for her solo freestyle performance.

Rebecca’s dedication, determination, and passion are an inspiration. Her achievements remind us of what’s possible when individuals have the opportunity and support to pursue their passions and shine.

Congratulations, Rebecca! We’re so proud of you!

Adam Lewis: 16 Years of Making a Difference at Fenway Park

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Adam Lewis, a CBDS/ES participant at The Price Center, who recently marked an amazing 16 years as a Red Sox greeter at Fenway Park!

Adam’s story is a wonderful example of what meaningful employment and inclusion can make possible. As our CEO, Abby Parrilla, shared, success is measured not only by getting a job, but by building a career—showing up, being dependable, and bringing a smile to work each day.

We’re grateful to WCVB’s “5 for Good” for sharing Adam’s inspiring journey and highlighting the possibilities that open up when people are given the opportunity to succeed.

Congratulations, Adam! The Price Center is so proud of you!

Building Opportunity, One Brick at a Time

At The Price Center, the Kindness Café is about much more than coffee. It’s about possibility, confidence, and opportunity.

The Kindness Café first opened its doors to families during a soft launch on February 12, 2026. Today, it is a thriving vocational training program where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, gain hands-on barista experience, develop valuable workplace skills, and discover what is possible when they are given the opportunity and support to succeed.

Every cup served can represent a new skill learned. A new connection made. A new step toward meaningful employment and greater independence.
