As we ring in the new year, Sacred Heart University (SHU) is putting the final touches on their beautiful, brand new Martire Family Arena located on the SHU West Campus. With only days to go, there still is some work to be done before the first Men's game on Jan. 14, 2023 against Boston College and first Women's game on Jan. 15, 2023 against Harvard, but you can tell it is going to be a great place to watch D1 college hockey!

SHU Men's Coach CJ Marottolo and SHU Women's Coach Tom O'Malley provided us with a private tour of the facility. It has all the amenities you would expect in a state-of-the art college arena and much more! The Coaches emphasized SHU's desire to have the facility be open to the community. It will be a venue for youth & high school hockey, figure skating and public open skating to go along with their college games.
