The summer has flown by and we are headed into the fall season. Usually that means back to school and back to work, but this is an unusual year. 2020 has been a remarkable year with even more remarkable challenges. We're still struggling with what work (and school) will look like this fall. We continue to work to provide a safe workspace and have learned more each week on the proper procedures to do that for our members. Our CoWorking Month was successful even with the special COVID-19 orders in place. Check out some of the pictures from our events and from our OneCommunity member events as well. Thanks for being a part of the Work Awesome Experience by just showing up and giving us rave Google reviews throughout the month. And, a special shout out to all who participated in our Dilly Day event yesterday! It's just our way of thanking you for a Work Awesome August.
In September, we will continue to pivot with new ways to bring some of our “regular” events back in to our workspaces. Next Wednesday, September 9, will be the Donut Day Experiment where we will mask and glove up to serve wrapped granola bars delivered on trays while maintaining our 6-foot physical distancing rules. Starbucks coffee will return in the single serve coffee bar, as well. Stop in for a treat! Our Slice of Woodbury Networking will be in Zoom format and there will be drawings for trinkets and pizza certificates for all of the lucky attendees. And, we are already planning for Park CONNECT Networking to return virtually in October. My team and I have been brainstorming on ways to keep the workspaces safe, productive and collaborative during this unprecedented time. I believe we have done an excellent job. My hat's off to our OC front-line workers who keep the office running! You make all of us better.
Let’s move forward and keep reaching for new heights together. We have been showing space like crazy and have had over 20 new businesses join us in the last month. Thanks to all of you for referring your friends and family as our community connections continue to be our number one lead source. Stay safe and I hope to see you either in a Zoom meeting or in one of our workspaces this fall.

If you didn't see Anne Pryor and Risë Kasmirski's presentation of CREATING THE SOUL-FILLING LIFE YOU DESIRE during CoWorking month then you missed one of our best attended workshops in August. Anne and Risë showed us unique tools to change the way you think and approach your life, thoughts, and actions. Rise engaged with our community while Anne demonstrated how she creates her Lovitude paintings. Inspired through after death communications with her friend, Anne started to create vivid images that elucidate, awaken, and activate souls using ink, her breath, and essential oils.Her paintings can be viewed at Mayo Clinic and in galleries worldwide. Risë is an author and Certified Coach. She began after death communications with the same friend through lucid dreams and channeled writing. This inspired her to write a book. What a Month IT WAS!!
How can we recap a month that gave us hats and masks and Dilly Bars? And, Zoom workshops on Authentic Leadership, Needs and Leads, Understanding Google Analytics, How to Create an Inclusive Workspace, Innovations in Uncertain Times, Charting Your Course to Personal Purpose and Microsoft Teams. A month that brought us a Happy Hour with music by Scottie Miller, Professional Headshots for $39, an awesome speed networking session, plus a lunch card give away, weekly $100 dollar contests and double referral bonus for all members. Working 9 to 5!
Beginning Tuesday, September 8 (the day after Labor Day) all OffiCenters locations will be open from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. That's right, as the song goes, we'll be Working (Awesome) 9 to 5! Please know that we are doing our best to provide you with the best service while keeping our team healthy and safe.
Other noteworthy changes to mention: Int'l Plaza Building is once again open from 7:30AM to 6:00PM, Monday through Friday. Park Place East will be opening up seating in the new café area starting after Labor Day. COVID rules will still apply. They will also be opening up the fitness center starting after Labor Day. Members need to fill a new form to have access to the fitness center.

Firefly Sisterhood , Setting the Stage to Shine Brighter
On Oct. 1 the stage will be set for Firefly Sisterhood to shine brighter through the COVID crisis at their 6th Annual (Virtual) IllumiNight. In the first 3 months of 2020, Firefly served 100 women diagnosed with breast cancer. Your support has allowed Firefly Sisterhood to make necessary changes in addressing the landscape of care and support for women diagnosed with breast cancer. Your support means more now, than ever! Shaver Shuffle Recap
On August 15, team OffiCenters shuffled through the Inwood neighborhood in beautiful Lake Elmo. The day was perfect and our team of over 20 staff and members helped us to raise over $500 for cancer research in Minnesota. Team OC completed the 5K in just over an hour and were treated to fruit, donuts, breakfast burritos and other goodies before/after the walk.
