Food Distribution

FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Two Food Distribution Drive-Thru will be held in Tamarac:

Friday, May 2, 9 a.m., Tamarac Sports Complex, 9901 NW 77th St.

Cars should enter heading west on 77th Street into the park.


Friday, May 16, 9 a.m., Waters Edge Park, 7508 NW 61st St.


Cars should enter at the west side park entrance and on University Drive.


Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so come early to ensure you can take advantage of this community initiative while supplies last.

GROOVE ON THE GRASS

Dance with us on Friday, May 2, from 7-9 p.m., at the FREE Groove on the Grass concert at the Tamarac Sports Complex, 9901 NW 77th St., featuring Women of Country! Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an evening filled with live music.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL

On Saturday, May 3, safely dispose of unneeded electronics and household hazardous waste for free. The east gate of the Tamarac Public Services building, 6011 Nob Hill Rd., will be open from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. to accept drop-offs. Proof of residency required (driver’s license or utility bill).

TAMARAC WALKING CLUB

Join the Tamarac Walking Club, on Wednesday, May 7! Get active, meet new friends and enjoy a free community walk at Mainlands Park, 4500 Monterey Dr. Attendees will meet at the Energy Fitness Station at 6 p.m. No pre-registration required. Just bring water and a towel! The Tamarac Walking Club will meet on the first Wednesday of each month.

Community Meeting at Kings Point

2025 NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGS

Join us at an upcoming Neighborhood Meeting to partake in a discussion on City projects. Tamarac elected officials and staff will answer questions and share insights into what the future holds for The City For Your Life. All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m.

MOVIE IN THE PARK

Have a fun night out with Movie in the Park at Tamarac Park, 7501 N University Dr., Enjoy free popcorn and watch "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" on the big screen! Join us on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, as we honor the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation's freedom. We'll be joined by local veterans and guest speakers as we pay tribute to those who gave everything for our liberty The ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m., at Veterans Memorial Park, 7825 Southgate Blvd.

COMMISSION MEETINGS & WORKSHOPS

See your government in action by attending Commission Meetings. The next Regular Commission Meetings will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, and at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28. The next Workshops will be held on Monday, May 5 and May 19, at 10 a.m. All meetings are held at City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Ave. If you can't make it in-person, you can view the meetings on-demand at www.Tamarac.org or Facebook Live.
