and celebrate the last day of the school year, all for a great cause.
Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships go directly back into the work we do to provide emergency food, safe and permanent homes, jobs and youth development programs to 45,000 New Yorkers in need each year.

The stars came out to receive their awards, and they were all Brooklyn stars. CAMBA's Small Business Services (SBS) program saluted local business owners in its first annual Brooklyn Entrepreneur Awards event,

at BRIC in downtown Brooklyn highlighted the accomplishments of the entrepreneurs who have advanced their businesses and achieved success with the support of SBS and our partner nonprofits, including Business Outreach Center (BOC), the Brooklyn Public Library, Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, the Center for Family Life and the Local Development Corporation of East New York (LDCNY).
Attendees saw a video highlighting CAMBA's efforts in its earliest days to support local business owners, and the most recent success stories of the SBS program. The honorees, as selected by CAMBA and its partners:

Joining Hands to Unite Against Violence
|
|
BIVO (Brownsville In, Violence Out) continued is public awareness campaign June 1 by organizing the community in a show of linked hands across its catchment area along Rockaway Avenue. Holding "All Hands Matter" orange towels, more than 100 people joined Councilmember Alicka Ampry-Samuel stretching from Pitkin to New York Avenues.
