MOTR/L, CDP, PAC Trainer
, is a board certified Occupational Therapist and resident of Kennebunk. As an OT, Susan helps older adults age in place, provides education to caregivers, and assists individuals across the lifespan who are recovering from physical illness or experiencing cognitive changes with community mobility,
bathing, dressing, home management, and more. She has more than 20 years experience working with older adults in various settings including home care, skilled rehab, nursing homes and hospitals.
Susan's passion is working with individuals living with various stages of Dementia and Alzheimer's disease and their family members or caregivers. Family members are frequently the primary caregiver for individuals living with dementia and as such are often stressed and overwhelmed. Providing education to caregivers with a focus on looking at the personal strengths and remaining skills of the individual living with dementia can facilitate independence with daily tasks and improved quality of life as well as ease caregiver burden.
