IEEE Brain
 Join the Discussion!
IEEE Brain-storming is a new interactive feature that offers the opportunity for the community to engage in an open dialogue on future technological visions.

The first position paper has been published, and we are requesting your comments on scientific and engineering approaches for future effective human-intelligent agent teaming. Polling questions are embedded throughout the position paper as well as comments blocks for more substantial dialogue.
Brain Data Hackathon at IEEE COMPSAC 2018 Conference
23-24 July, 2018 in Tokyo, Japan
The hackathon is sponsored by IEEE Brain Initiative, IEEE Big Data Technical Community and IEEE Standards Association, and is co-located with the 42nd IEEE International Conference on Computers, Software & Applications.

Individuals and teams are invited to explore new patterns or knowledge from the given NeuroRacer datasets, which can be uploaded from the IEEE Dataport.  No neuroscience background is needed, and tutorials will be given at the start of the hackthon.

Passive Radar for Opportunistic Monitoring in E-Health Applications
by  Wenda Li  ;  Bo Tan ;  Robert Piechocki
This paper proposes passive Doppler radar as a non-contact sensing method to capture human body movements and to recognize respiration and physical activities in e-Health applications. The system uses existing in-home wireless signals as the source to interpret human activity and an innovative two-stage signal processing framework. Experimental results show that passive radar is a novel solution for multiple healthcare applications.
