Sweet Treats of Kindness
Thank you so much to these young girls from Bulldogs of Character for spreading Kindness into the Community. They visited the City officials and division heads during their weekly meeting to share some sweet treats as their form of kindness!
Resource Officers-Welcome
The New London Police Department has provided the New London School District with two additional part-time School Resource Officers, Steve Elliott and Tom Algiers. These officers join full time SRO, Chris Dearth.


Check out the New London Jazz Band Big Band Dinner and Dance on Oct. 20th. The students would love to see you there.
Elementary

Welcome to the
2018-19 School Year

Readfield Elementary School knows how to start the day right! Students raise the flag and the whole school says the Pledge of Allegiance before entering the building each day.

Early Childhood Classroom

The Early Childhood classroom relocated from the high school to Lincoln Elementary this summer.
Mr. Krause introduces Parkview students to their new playground game, donated by their PTO.
Students enjoy their new Gaga Pit at recess.
A storage shed was also built to store playground equipment. Thank you, Parkview PTO and the school district.
Secondary
Welcome to the ISMS, Mr. Chancellor
Mr. Chancellor, Associate Principal at the Intermediate Middle School, talks with fifth grade students about school expectations.
Over 260 meals were served at the ISMS to celebrate Breakfast with Grandparents .
Diners of all ages enjoyed delicious food and conversation! Thanks to all who made the morning a success!
Parents enjoyed a morning of learning during Grade 5 Parent Visitation Day at the ISMS.
Thank you to all those who were available to come in to work with our young Bulldogs. 
Seventh grade mathematicians at the ISMS were hard at work applying their understanding of integers during a building-wide scavenger hunt.
ISMS Therapy Dog
Ruger, ISMS therapy dog, is helping Ms. Nechodom get ready for the parent book study with the book UnSelfie: Why Empathetic Kids Are Successful in Our All About Me World by Michelle Borba. Thanks to a mental health grant, books were provided to interested parents.
Visiting Musician
Phil Stacey, singer and former American Idol contestant, visited band/choir students at NLHS. Students practiced a song he had written and were able to join him on stage to sing.

FFA Competition
The NLHS FFA students participated in a competition at River Ridge High School. Claire Duch, Hannah Weyland, Rachel Weyland and Heidi Weyland competed in the livestock judging competition and placed 5th out of 36 teams. Dylan Handschke, William Schmude, Rebecca Tank and Lora Korth competed on the dairy cattle judging team and placed 4th out of 36 teams.
Amazing Challenge Race hosted by the NLHS Swim Team was filled with laughs, teamwork and fun!
Congratulations to all those who participated and conquered the course.

No need for iPods, Ms. Dickrell brought her record player and some quality 50s records to teleport NLHS students back in time. These Bulldogs are bringing the 50s back to life at NLHS.

Community Information Sessions
November 6 Referendum
Please join the SDNL to learn about the upcoming Nov. 6 referendum. After much study, the Board of Education unanimously elected to place a question on the Nov. 6 ballot to request $1.3 million per year over a 10 year period to address significant physical, functional, and educational needs in the district. Due to the retirement of previous debt, school property taxes are expected to decline by approximately 16% should the referendum pass.
