Dear Friends,

As fall approaches, I’m filled with gratitude and pride for the incredible momentum behind our See You at the Y campaign. What began with a powerful kickoff in May has blossomed into a season of vibrant community activations across Greater Boston - from neighborhood block parties and teen nights to wellness pop-ups and family fun days in our parks and centers. We are grateful for the collaboration with campaign partners to bring these activations to life!

Every event was a reflection of what makes Boston so special: its people. We saw thousands of residents come together - across generations, cultures, and zip codes - to connect, celebrate, and rediscover the Y as a place where everyone belongs.

These moments remind us that the YMCA of Greater Boston is more than a building - it’s a movement. One rooted in our city’s history as America’s first Y, and one that continues to evolve to meet the needs of today’s Boston. Through See You at the Y, we’re not just attending events - we’re building bridges, nurturing relationships, and creating spaces where no one feels alone.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your partnership fuels our mission, and your ideas continue to shape our path forward. I invite you to stay engaged, share your ideas, and help us keep the energy alive as we head into the end of the year.

Yours in Partnership,

Open Streets Boston Partnership with the City of Boston

We were proud to partner with the City of Boston for this season’s Open Streets Boston events - turning city streets into vibrant, car-free spaces for connection and celebration. The Y joined in with our signature Connect Four games, creating fun, welcoming moments that brought families and neighbors together.

Boston While Black – Family Reunion

As part of our “See You at the Y” campaign, we were proud to take part in this July’s Boston While Black – Family Reunion, celebrating community, connection, and joy. Our Y teams created welcoming spaces filled with play, laughter, and shared experiences - fostering a true sense of belonging. From engaging activities to spontaneous fun, the event was a powerful reminder that joy is greatest when experienced together.

The YMCA of Greater Boston was proud to participate in Boston After Dark Teen Nights, partnering with the City to provide safe, welcoming spaces for teens to connect, have fun, and build a sense of belonging. We’re grateful to support this important initiative that uplifts and empowers young people across our community.

Connected by Purpose, Celebrating with Joy

At the YMCA of Greater Boston’s Employee and Volunteer Family Day, we came together to celebrate the people who bring our mission to life. This joyful event reminded us how seeing each other - a key part of our See You at the Y campaign - starts with appreciating our dedicated staff and volunteers.

Together, we’re building a community where everyone feels valued and connected.
