FULL TALKIN' BROADWAY REVIEW by Rob Spiegel: https://www.talkinbroadway.com/page/regional/alb/alb504.html

"...both actors deliver strong performances...Both Osbourne and Long are a delight to watch, and they are more than up to the task of delivering these two semi-lost souls... Long hits the sweet spot with Johnny...Osbourne, on the other hand, has to deliver about 40 different emotions over the course of their night together... Osbourne makes each one of these whiplash emotions credible in the moment.
When I saw that Osbourne had been cast as Frankie, I knew we were in for a special performance, having seen her in a number of plays. She's stunning... I figured I was in for a real treat with this production, and I certainly was. She's even better than I expected.
Hats off to director Kristine Holtvedt who came...to work with...Victoria J. Liberatori...This is their eighth show together. The set...by Alexandra Buresh with construction by Bradley Roe...and painting by Dannie Offner is just perfect...excellent sound and lighting by Casey Mraz and Ben Kesselring...
This is a gotta-see production I'll long remember."

EXCERPTS BELOW:

" Aux Dog Theatre has established their own sweet groove of romantic comedies ... Each spoonful of sugar in these plays is offered with a side of bitter coffee... we... root for this love affair, yet still feel unsure when it veers on and off the rails... The actors drive our emotions and are in control all the way. Mike Long ... plays a low-rent Romeo using every little thing at his disposal... to woo and win her... when he enlists the help of an unlikely Cupid... it’s magical. Long’s portrayal is straightforward, funny, and heartfelt.
Jessica Osbourne as Frankie takes us believably through the character’s changes and forges a real bond with the audience ... she subtly... let us know she’s coming around... I never know how she does it... Osbourne is impeccable, always.
...The Dog doesn’t pull its punches."
