State Updates

Congratulations to Gini Cunningham, our REST Trainer of the Quarter! As a REST trainer, Gini describes the best part of her role: "...planning, being nervous, and then settling in as I glance around at the eager audience," she said. "As we move through each section of the REST training, I love the calm that ensues as attendees gain confidence to share. Hearing the tenderness and concern of others empower me and everyone present."

In addition, Gini's efforts to make the Winnemucca area more age- and dementia-friendly received the national spotlight in AARP's publication, "Where We Live." It highlighted a book Gini helped put together, which includes more than 20 "SMART Goals" that she and other volunteers identified. See more details here .
