MEET DAN ALEXANDER

ANGEL REACH EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

On one of Conroe’s coldest days on record when the City encouraged everyone to stay home and off the icy roads, Angel Reach welcomed our new Executive Director to his first day on the job. True to his character, Dan Alexander was undaunted by the challenge and was ready to jump in. With an extensive and successful career in the nonprofit sector working with youth and young adults across the country, Dan has a passion for helping and a mission to make a difference: "To encourage and accompany these young people who have experienced a hard and broken foster care system into a productive and independent future.” Welcome Dan! We are honored and excited to have you lead the Angel Reach Family!

THE SMILES TELL IT ALL

Picture this: you are 18-years old, showing up at a house full of strangers. You walk in the door with the clothes on your back and one trash bag full of the most important things you own which is all you were allowed to take with you from your last place. Your clothes are all hand-me-downs or second-hands because buying something "new" is not anything you’ve experienced. But you’ve arrived at Angel Reach and are ready to make the future yours. You set goals for your education and a job, then work hard to meet and even surpass them. You learn to cook, to clean, do laundry and maintain that job.

Now imagine this. All your hard work is paying off in a way you couldn’t imagine before: the keys to a beautiful, new duplex to call home as you continue to complete your goals. Welcome Home Girls! Welcome to your own safe place to live as you conquer even more goals and show the world that you are the person that God planned for you. You are safe, strong and saving up for the independent future you deserve!

A HEART for PACKING BAGS

One bright Saturday morning, this energetic group of youth from Church Project South came and helped prepare bags for youth in the foster care system. Wow, did they work hard! Thank You for giving your time and spirit to help bring joy to the youth. They're going to love receiving these!

CONSTRUCTION at its BEST

Nothing warms our hearts more than having someone contact us and say "We want to come and help - what do you need?" Well, Angels Loft needed some slat walls for display is what we needed! Thank you, Jascha and the Team at Cornerstone Development Group, for using their skill to spruce up Angels Loft walls. They look fabulous!
