ITS Berkeley will host a Research Roundtable for ITS faculty and researchers on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm, with a brief reception following in Hearst Memorial Mining Building, Room 290. Please RSVP Here: https://forms.gle/ZJd3juRJbprap5pS7 The Roundtable aims to foster cross-collaboration and discovery across our Research Centers, Faculty, and Fellows with a series of center-specific flash talks, followed by breakout discussions. 

    UC ITS Board of Advisors Meet in Berkeley    

The UC ITS Board of Advisors recently met on the UC Berkeley campus to gather Board of Advisors members and UC ITS staff and directors to share UC ITS accomplishments and progress from the past year and goals for the coming year, and solicit feedback on high-priority policy questions that could benefit from UC ITS research, expertise, and/or general involvement. Congratulations to Safe Transportation Research and Education Center Co-Director Jill Cooper, who was honored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with the 2023 NHTSA Public Service Award! The Institute of Transportation Studies Berkeley welcomed visitors from The Korea Transport Institute (KOTI) to UC Berkeley on March 16, 2023 to discuss current research areas, including vehicle automation, air space, drones, and urban air mobility, and potential collaboration areas. Read more

On March 17, 2023, newly admitted transportation engineering graduate students had the opportunity to visit campus and talk to Civil and Environmental Engineering faculty and current students, and ITS staff to learn about the program, research opportunities, and campus life.

TRANSOC-ARUP Alumni Transportation Reception

The UC Berkeley Transportation Graduate Students Organizing Committee (TRANSOC) is holding their 6th Transportation Alumni Reception on May 4 from 6:30-9:30 pm at the Bancroft Hotel. This event connects current students with professionals and leaders in the transportation industry. Last year the event attracted a mix of professionals, public sector representatives, alumni, and students to network and learn from each other's experiences since graduation. Representatives from event sponsor companies, including ARUP, Fehr and Peers, Kittelson & Associates, and Kimley-Horn will also be attending the event. Please RSVP here.
