Don't Miss the Annual Meeting!

Tomorrow Night

Everyone at EcoAction Arlington and all of our exhibitors are excited to see you tomorrow, Wednesday March 8, at the Annual Meeting. Register by 9 am March 8 or get your tickets at the door. See more details below.

Our Green Dining Arlington (GDA) Initiative has launched a new partnership with the Virginia Green Travel Alliance

This partnership will help our GDA initiative to recognize and promote green restaurants in Arlington, and to build restaurants’ knowledge of environmentally friendly practices.

As a Virginia Green Supporting Organization, GDA will help Arlington restaurants to certify their green dining practices with Virginia Green. Once they are certified, restaurants will have access to resources, learning opportunities, and a statewide network of organizations committed to sustainability in the tourism industry. To learn more about Virginia Green and its mission, visit www.virginiagreen.net.

To recommend restaurants as candidates for Virginia Green certification, or to get involved, email us at

EcoAction Arlington Connecting With the Community

School Program Success

We talked with 327 students in 13 schools since January 24, including students at ASPIRE, talking about the importance of trees, protecting our watersheds, and sustainability. Additionally, on January 19 Energy Masters volunteers hosted an energy carnival and talked with over 200 students and their families at Claremont Immersion School during their annual STEAM Night.

We thank every student who has put time and dedication to learning about the ways that they can help this planet thrive.

Volunteers Needed!

We are looking for volunteers to help with two upcoming service projects in March. Help put the Action in EcoAction Arlington while getting outside and doing good for the environment.

Sunday, March 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Jennie Dean Park, and Tuesday, March 21 at Arlington Mills Community Center/Four Mile Run from 4 to 6 p.m.
