We are so excited to share that our agency has received the Pinnacle Award for an outstanding one-to-one mentorship program! This National Award is only awarded to a select few agencies out of 230 across the country.

CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 3rd Annual William Byron Charity Golf Tournament was a huge success!

A BIG thank you to William Byron for choosing Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas as the beneficiary for this major event. We are so grateful for this gift and the doors it will open for mentorship in our community.

Our Site-Based programs are now paused for the summer, but they didn’t end without celebrating the year in a big way. Thank you to all the Bigs and Littles who made this a successful year.

GAME NIGHT WITH A BIG!

Last month, our Community Based Program hosted a Game Night for our Bigs and Littles at the University City Regional Library!

Our matches enjoyed pizza, snacks, music, reading books, and a “Find a Friend” Bingo Challenge icebreaker. Matches were VERY competitive and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know each other. There was plenty of laughter and fun to go around! #BiggerTogether

WHAT A GREAT YEAR!

Celebrating a wonderful year with our Site Based Program at Coltrane Webb Elementary School.

Our matches had a special lunch, crafted, and picked out books and sports balls to exercise their mind and body over the Summer. We are so proud of how much our Littles have grown over the school year, and thankful for the impact our Bigs are making!

A special shout out to our Bigs with Badges from City of Concord Police Department for their service!

READY..SET..GO!

Our matches took a trip to the Charlotte Motor Speedway to learn about career and internship opportunities at the speedway! Our matches explored the NASCAR Cup Series garage area, and took a ride through two infield race tracks: the zMAX Dragway and the Dirt Track. Our matches also enjoyed walking up the 24-degree banking to see what the force felt like in-person!

This historical tour of the Charlotte Motor Speedway was one to remember. A great hands on career exploration day was had by all!
