We are full swing in hosting preparation mode!  We have several children from the Philippines available. Also, our Colombia team JUST returned from meeting host kiddos, and we are excited to share them with you in the coming weeks! Stay tuned! While we have many beautiful children available, WE NEED HOST FAMILIES!! Live in MD, PA, NJ, IL, or MO, and are interested in hosting this summer? Em ail Michelle McGowan or Sarah Hansen for more information!! Or visit our website .
MAA staff members just returned from a productive and informative trip to beautiful Colombia. MAA was accredited in Colombia in September 2017. We are thrilled that we were able to meet with our staff, caregivers, orphanages, and Embassy officials. We also got to meet TONS of beautiful, legally free children! Please keep checking the MAA website as we are adding files as quickly as we can!
While MAA will continue to focus on older children and children with special needs, there are also many young children with very minor needs available for families who have logged in dossiers in Colombia.

We are SO EXCITED about this new program and all the children we can help get home!

Colombia has no family size limit, and we have also been told that the previously lengthy in country stay is now completed in just three weeks!
Please contact Misty Lucas or Diana Bramble today on how you can get started!
MAA is excited to announce that at the end of January our offices officially converted our systems to Office 365! Technology is a beautiful thing, but with any update like this there are always a few growing pains. Our end goal is that Office 365 will ensure more efficient information processing for our families and our agency. We ask for your patience and understanding as we learn and navigate this change to better serve you!

TUNING IN TO TEENS

What is Tuning in to Teens?

Tuning in to Teens is a parenting program designed to help parents improve relationships and connect with their teens. Because teenage years can be tough,
TINT is designed to help parents:

- understand how teens think and feel
- learn ways to manage your teens emotions and your own
- respond to teens in ways that will help them talk more to you
- create a calmer home environment and lower conflict

This is a research study conducted by QIC-AG. Although we expect TINT to be effective, it has never been tested with adoptive families. We hope to learn of its effectiveness through this study.

Although this program is run in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania families are also welcome to attend!

Don't forget MAA's Lunar New Year Celebration will be held Sunday, February 11th at Limestone Presbyterian Church from 2-5pm. Please take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate your child's heritage! If you have any questions or would like to RSVP, please contact Leonette Boiarski . We kindly ask that you bring a dish to share, and we hope to see you there!
These children came home to forever families in January!
