For several years, people have showed up wearing Beatles T-shirts and 60s fashion. Thanks to the enthusiasm and generous financial support from several longtime attendees, this year we're adding a new contest with $500 in cash awards for youth and adult winners! Make Music with Piedmont Music Therapy

10:00am–12:00pm



Piedmont Music Therapy is a Charlotte Metro team of board-certified music therapists serving children and adults of all abilities.

PMT music therapists will be onsite for inclusive music making to support guests with exploring Beatles music with various percussion instruments and manipulatives. Good for all ages and abilities!

Get Beading with Play More Charlotte

Play More Charlotte helps adults find joy and community through play, silliness, and nostalgia.

Come make bracelets, bag baubles or other creative inventions with Sally Stokes at the Play More Bead Bar for older teens and adults. 


Note: beading for younger children will be included in the crafts offered in the Family Fun Tent.

Make a Music Video with Arts+

10:00–5:00pm

Arts+ provides music and art classes for all ages and backgrounds.

This year you can make your own Beatles music video with help from Philip Roxas and the Arts+ team! Pick your favorite Beatles hit, grab a mic, and lip-sync your way to stardom. They'll record it, add the music and effects. Get jamming and dancing to craft your own digital festival souvenir!

Come see a new 45-minute cinematic journey created by Australian session drummer, filmmaker, and producer Luke Herbert.

Designed to place Ringo Starr's drumming at the center of The Beatles' legacy, the film tracks the band's musical evolution with live-performance snippets of over 200 Beatles studio tracks in strict chronological order, from "Love Me Do" to "Let It Be".

FabFest volunteers help in a variety ways!

Over the festival weekend: with hospitality, check-in, set up and load out and various activities all weekend.

In September: getting the word out, distributing flyers, making reels for social media and tabling at community events.

If you love live music and the joy of community in person, register for an upcoming information session.

FabFest Volunteers:

• attend an information session in September before registering for shifts: Select one to RSVP: 7:30pm Wed 9/9 · 12:00pm Wed 9/16 · 7:30pm Wed 9/23
• serve two 3-hour shifts or more (9am Friday 10/2 through 7pm Saturday 10/3, or one shift can be done in September)
• are especially needed Fri morning 9-11am & Sat 4-7pm
• get perks! Free admission Friday night, lunch on Saturday, and if it's your first time, a free FabFest T-shirt!
