Is your garden ready for May?

Time to prune out the old and rake your garden beds to find what's coming up green. Adding compost now will give your plant roots a boost and enrich your soils for healthy plant growth. I recommend a mushroom manure compost that will not burn or damage plants or any seeds or new roots, it is even good for top dressing your grass this time of year.

I planted some purple pea pod seeds two weeks ago, on Earth Day, in my big garden out at the farm. You can plant any cold weather crops or seeds anytime. Keep them watered for germination and wait for the little green shoots to start poking out!
