Santa Claus parades
Santa Claus is coming to town. Santa arrives in Keswick for the annual Georgina Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 1:30 p.m. The Sutton Santa Claus Parade of Lights takes place on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. The Kinette Club of Sutton will be collecting food and cash donations in support of the Georgina Community Food Pantry along the parade route. Watch for their decorated shopping carts to make your donation.

Santa to a senior
Be a Santa to a Senior this holiday season. From Nov. 12 to Dec. 10, you can make a difference in the life of a senior by providing a Christmas gift to a long-term care resident at Cedarvale Lodge and River Glen Haven. Visit one of the participating stores in our community to pick up a Christmas wish tag and help spread a little holiday cheer.

Winter parking restrictions
Winter is coming. It is a reminder of our shared role in keeping roads and walkways clear. Winter parking restrictions will be in effect from Nov. 15 to April 15, meaning no parking between the hours of 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Leisure vehicle storage
As of Oct. 31, residents are reminded seasonal storage of summer leisure vehicles on residential lots is not allowed. Snowmobiles or similar winter vehicles may be stored seasonally for the period of Nov. 1 until March 31. Permanent storage of leisure vehicles may be permitted on residential lots that meet the requirements and setbacks provided in the regulations.

Yard waste
Bi-weekly yard waste collection continues until the end of November. There is no limit on the amount of yard waste that can be placed with collection. Use environmentally friendly Kraft paper bags or your regular garbage container.
