Opioid Epidemic Community Tool Kit

Chester County's Department of Drug and Alcohol Services recently created an Opioid Epidemic Community Tool Kit. The Tool Kit was created in response to an influx of requests that were received from the community—“how can we help to combat the opioid epidemic in our community.” The Tool Kit serves as a resource for community members by allowing them to browse through action items and see where they may fit best to serve their community.
   Chester County Overdose Prevention Task Force

The Chester County Overdose Prevention Task Force was formed in March 2015 to coordinate
overdose death prevention efforts between various organizations. The Task Force is led by:

The mission of the Task Force is to prevent overdose deaths in Chester County through a multidisciplinary, coordinated effort between government departments, community organizations, and treatment providers.

The next quarterly meeting, open to all, will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Government Services Center located at 601 Westtown Road, West Chester, Pa 19380 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
Community Naloxone Trainings
Good Fellowship has partnered with Chester County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services to reduce the incidence of accidental drug overdoses. Join us to learn about opioids, naloxone and
accessing treatment in Chester County.

How Naloxone/Narcan Works in the Brain
Did you know that there is a grassroots advocacy and recovery support initiative right here in Chester County?

Pennsylvania Recovery Organization - Achieving Community Together (PRO-ACT) works to reduce the stigma of addiction, ensure the availability of adequate treatment and recovery support services, and to influence public opinion and policy regarding the value of recovery.

Each month PRO-ACT coordinates several events, support group, and educational programs. For more information, look below.

   Get in the Know! Summer 2018 Events

The Ride for Recovery motorcycle ride and family picnic supports Livengrin’s mission by increasing public awareness about the disease of addiction and treatment while raising funds which directly benefit patient programs, charitable care, and other services.

Adult Mental Health First Aid is a new public education program designed to teach everyday citizens the skills to help another person who is struggling with a mental health concern or crisis.
