Saturday Soccer Classics and Soccer Memories
We're got something really special for you on Saturday. This year at Lincoln Academy's Homecoming, there was a special recognition of the 1987 State Championship soccer team. (Thanks to Lincoln Academy for the photo above.) LCTV was there to capture the action and interview the returning members for a Special show.
We thought many viewers might want to revisit the games that got the team to the 1987 Championship, so starting at 2:00pm on Saturday, we'll air the Lincoln Academy team’s 1987 quarterfinal game versus York, followed by the semifinal game against Yarmouth, and conclude with the clinching championship game versus Falmouth.
Then at 6:00pm, tune in for the Special “Soccer Memories” that includes new and archival footage of the 1987 team who attended 2023 Homecoming.
